Hypotube catheter shafts made from nitinol or stainless steel are an excellent choice for minimally-invasive catheter procedures because they can be designed with varying degrees of trackability and torque.  This design flexibility allows the hypotube to be made to resist kinking in the most intricate, demanding medical procedures.

Johnson Matthey’s California facility manufactures stainless steel hypotube or Nitinol hypotube catheter shafts from the prototype stage through high-volume production. We offer most hypodermic tubing with lengths up to 10 feet, and our available customized services include spiral cut, skyving, flaring, PTFE coatings and other secondary operations to provide a complete OEM product for your medical device components.
